It was born from the desire to share the country’s gastronomy and traditions in an original and personalised way, through artisanal products, sweets, savoury items, drinks, and typical delicacies from various regions.
Behind this brand is Rosana Silva, who adheres to strict criteria for authenticity, quality, and tradition. All products are Portuguese, and she works with both small artisanal producers and traditional brands, making sure that each item represents the best of Portugal.

Some products are considered “signature” items, essential to the identity and charm of each suitcase. Quality, freshness, and genuineness are ensured through thorough selection and direct contact with producers.
Since moving to Portugal, Rosana has closely followed local gastronomy, preparing to launch Mala de Portugal, which launched several months ago and has already become a success.

Combining products
The company is based in Lagos, in the Algarve, a location that allows them to combine products from different regions of the country, creating unique suitcases that value excellence and heritage. “We select products from all over Portugal, not just from the region where we are based, and such diversity helps tell the complete story of Portuguese gastronomy.
The Algarve, especially Lagos, is also our favourite place, for its beautiful landscapes, beaches, and unforgettable charm.”
Each suitcase is designed to tell a story about Portugal, balancing contrast and harmony in flavours.

How to order?
Orders are placed through their Instagram @maladeportugal: simply click the link in the profile to access WhatsApp and the full catalogue. They offer curated collections, but customers can personalise their suitcases by selecting items based on their preferences. Currently, orders can only be shipped within Portugal. “For those ordering a Mala de Portugal for the first time, our advice is to explore the catalogue calmly, choose the products that most appeal to you, and enjoy a delicious and fully personalised experience.”
In addition to Mala de Portugal, Rosana is also a certified Personal Organiser, with professional training to organise spaces in a functional and aesthetic way, helping people simplify their lives and make everyday life lighter.

This experience directly influences how she creates and organises the suitcases: each product is placed with care, ensuring visual balance and usefulness, and providing an emotional experience when the suitcase is opened. “I try to create a connection with each customer; the aim is to make people satisfied and happy when receiving a carefully thought-out suitcase.”
At the heart of everything, Rosana hopes that each Mala de Portugal represents Portugal in flavour, tradition, and care, providing moments of happiness and surprise.
